Content Knowledge

Placing content in front of students does not mean they are going to automatically understand it. Therefore, educators focus not only on bringing forth enriching content that is beneficial for students, but also on the process of teaching the content in a way that can be deeply understood. This way students are not just exposed to the material but are also taught to master it.

Application of Content

Learning continues to take place beyond the classroom walls. The real-world experiences that students undergo play a major role in their educational and noneducational development. In order to ensure students are successful both in and out of the classroom, educators produce content that teaches students how to problem solve, collaborate appropriately with others, and think critically and creatively. This enables students to be aware of complex issues that are relevant in the real world while also teaching them how to navigate these issues.
